Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark will be participating in Wednesday's The Annika driven by Gainbridge, an LPGA pro-am tournament to be held at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida.

Before the event kicks off, Clark spoke at Tuesday's Women's Leadership Summit alongside Annika Sorenstam, whom the event is named after. The two will be sharing the same 7:00 a.m. ET tee time on Wednesday morning.

During one of the interviews, the former Iowa Hawkeyes women's basketball star was asked if she had ever played golf against anyone in the WNBA. Clark proceeded to throw some subtle shade at her Fever teammate, guard Grace Berger.

"I haven't played with anyone on any other team, but some of my teammates golf," Clark said. "One of my teammates [Berger] was a state champion golfer, so she's pretty good. I actually haven't played with her yet, so I think she might be scared or something. I don't know why. Her game must have gotten rusty when she became a professional basketball player."

Berger attended high school at Sacred Heart Academy in Louisville, Kentucky, where she won the golf state championship. She later went on to play basketball right down the road for the Indiana Hoosiers, where she was named a four-time first-team All-Big Ten player. Following her college career, Berger was selected as the No. 7 pick in the 2023 WNBA draft.

In 2024, Berger appeared in 11 games for the Fever, averaging 2.8 points, 1.4 rebounds and 0.6 assists in 9.3 minutes per game.

During Clark's first season in Indiana, she helped lead the team to its first WNBA playoffs appearance since 2016, with coach Christie Sides at the helm. Clark also broke numerous records, including the most assists in a game and a season.

Now, Clark and Berger will have a new coach in 2025 after the Fever let go of Sides and added the former Connecticut Sun Coach of the Year, Stephanie White, who previously coached Indiana in 2015 and 2016.
