Wrigley Field is ready for the NHL's Winter Classic on New Year's Eve.

The NHL's annual outdoor game will be played at the home of the Chicago Cubs between the Chicago Blackhawks and the St. Louis Blues. The beautiful ballpark looks more than ready for Tuesday's game.

Take a look:

This has hockey fans fired up for Tuesday's game.

"Looking gorgeous!" one fan tweeted.

"That's dope!" another tweet read.

"Actually that's ice on Wrigley Field," another fan tweeted.

"Seats right here would be the best view in the stadium today," another tweet read.

The Blues and Blackhawks are big rivals so it makes sense for the NHL to take the rivalry outside for the annual Winter Classic.

The Blues enter Tuesday's game with a 17-17-4 record, good for fifth in the Central Division with the Utah Hockey Club. They're trying to stay in the playoff race after hiring Jim Montgomery to replace Drew Bannister as head coach.

Montgomery was fired by the Boston Bruins earlier in the season before the Blues hired him.

The Blackhawks are still in full rebuild mode and are 12-23-2 to start the season, good for last in the Central Division. This is the second year of the Connor Bedard era and while he's one of the best players in the league, he can't do it by himself.

Bedard leads the team in points with 32 in 37 games while Teuvo Teravainen is right behind him with 24 points in 37 games.

The Blackhawks will have an interim head coach behind the bench for this game and the rest of the season (Anders Sorensen) after they fired Luke Richardson earlier this month.

Puck drop for Tuesday's game will be at 5 p.m. ET on TNT.
