Golf Fans Are Not Happy With Ticket Prices For 2025 Ryder Cup

Golf fans hoping to catch a glimpse of the Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black in New York next year will have to start saving their pennies early - or hit the lottery.
Earlier this week the ticket prices for the Ryder Cup were announced and it's not sitting too well with fans. A quick glance on the Ryder Cup website shows that only "Ryder Cup+" tickets are being sold.
"The Random Selection ticket sale will include daily Ryder Cup+ tickets for Tuesday, September 23, through Sunday, September 28, 2025. All available tickets for purchase will be sold as single, daily tickets," the Ryder Cup announced.
So what comes with a Ryder Cup+ ticket?
- Access to the grounds of Bethpage Black Golf Course for the specific day(s).
- Access to the Ryder Cup+ Inclusive Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverage Program for the specific day(s).
- Access to public grandstand seating, The Ryder Cup Shops, and other spectator amenities.
Fans will have access to "unlimited food" but not alcoholic beverages - those are being sold separately, because of course.
So how much does a Ryder Cup+ ticket cost?
The first two practice rounds of the week scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday will run fans just over $255. Thursday's practice session and celebrity match will cost fans over $423.
Now for the big ticket items. The foursome/fourball matches on Friday and Saturday and the singles matches on Sunday will cost fans $750 per day.
Needless to say, fans weren't pleased.
"$750 for Ryder Cup tickets at Bethpage is just ridiculous. Swing and a miss," one person said.
"On the other, $750 to watch golf is insane. You can hardly even see the players at a Ryder Cup and there isn't much golf going on. It's super tough to get a good view. It does include food and non-alcoholic beverages," added another.
"Uhh… have we talked about the 2025 Ryder Cup ticket prices yet? Masters is $140.. Open, US Open, PGA were all ~$200. Ryder Cup is $750. Seven hundred fifty dollars," offered a third.
Sure, unlimited food is included, but $750 is still an outrageous ask for a game that claims it's trying to be more accessible.
Then again, people will pay it.
