Things are going from bad to worse for Florida's Billy Napier.

After the Gators head coach called out the school's fans (and lost a battle with a water bottle) folks in The Swamp are going to new lengths to get rid of him for good.

Per the @gatorsszn account on X, fans have set up a $26 million GoFundMe page to buy Napier out of his deal and send him packing.

The UF HC got himself into hot water with his postgame comments following the program's embarrassing loss to Miami (which he's since apologized for):

I played on championship teams, I've been part of it as a coach on National Championship teams, SEC Championship teams, conference champions, division champions, and very rarely did we win every single game. I think, ultimately, a loss early can be a blessing if you don't waste it… One thing I can say is that we have a group that's working hard. I do think that we have character. We have to go to work on the football part. And I think we have to become a more consistent team, and we have to execute better. If we can focus on those things and not necessarily what some guy in his basement is saying in rural Central Florida on social media, then we got a chance to get better.

After an 11-15 start to his Gators tenure, Napier's statement appears to have gotten rid of any goodwill he might've had with fans in the greater Gainesville area.

ESPN's Mike Greenberg was among his most vocal critics, saying on his "#Greeny" show that Napier committed the "cardinal sin" of coaching.

It's hard to imagine the 45-year-old surviving the season if things don't improve drastically in the very near future. One things for certain: the team can't drop it's Week 2 game vs. Samford.
