Meet The Rumored Girlfriend Of Steelers QB Justin Fields (1:01)

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver George Pickens wasn't in position to catch a potential game-winning touchdown pass from Russell Wilson on Thursday night. That's because he was too busy fighting with Cleveland Browns cornerback Greg Newsome.

With only a few seconds left in Thursday night's game, the Steelers had a Hail Mary attempt from Wilson land in the end zone. The problem was no one on Pittsburgh's roster was in position to catch the ball. Pickens, in particular, was out of the end zone entirely. He was preoccupied with Newsome, who borderline pushed him out of the play.

Pickens was unhappy with Newsome's antics, so they needed to be separated after the final whistle. NFL fans weren't pleased with what they saw from the Georgia product.

Countless people ripped Pickens on social media for letting his ego trump his own job on the final play of Thursday's game.

"The Steelers best receiver George Pickens was more interested in fighting Browns DB Greg Newsome in the stands than competing to catch the Hail Mary," one person tweeted. "He's a PROBLEM."

"The game is still going on, there is still a chance to win, this is completely wrong by him," another fan wrote. "He needs to get his act together."

"A Hail Mary to win the game. Pickens ran right through the end zone to fight a DB and the other guys are just standing there making no effort on the ball. Not sure what's worse," a third person said.

To make matters worse, Pickens called out the Browns after the game. He said they're not very good despite their win over the Steelers.

"The conditions played a huge, huge part in today's game. I don't really think the Cleveland Browns are a good team at all. I think the conditions kind of saved them today," Pickens told reporters.

Doubling down on this type of behavior helps absolutely no one. We'd have to imagine these antics from Pickens frustrate Mike Tomlin.

The Steelers will try to get back in the win column next Sunday when they take on the Cincinnati Bengals in another AFC North matchup.
