Former Stanford Coach David Shaw Interviewing For NFL Job

It doesn't feel like that long ago that Stanford's David Shaw was one of football's most in-demand coaches.
In his 12 years with the Cardinal, Shaw amassed a 96-54 record with five 10+ win seasons, eight bowl game appearances and four Pac-12 Coach of the Year awards.
He also coached eight consensus All-Americans — some of whom went on to have excellent pro careers — like Christian McCaffrey, Zach Ertz and David DeCastro. Not to mention former Colts star QB Andrew Luck.
Since then, Shaw himself has moved onto the NFL. Landing a player personnel position with the Denver Broncos who just locked a playoff spot for the first time since winning the Super Bowl in 2015.
And now it sounds like there could be some interest in him potentially returning to the sideline as a head coach in the NFC.
Per the NFL Network's Jane Slater: "Two sources [informed] me the #Saints are gonna interview David Shaw for their HC position. Shaw is currently a senior personnel executive for the Denver Broncos. Shaw was the HC at Stanford for 12 years and coached QBs like Andrew Luck and Davis Mills. He also has an extensive background in the NFL as Asst HC with Eagles, Ravens and Raiders."
The Saints moved on from head coach Dennis Allen after Week 9 following a five-game collapse after their undefeated start.
Interim coach Darren Rizzi went 3-5 down the stretch for New Orleans but the team has made it clear that they're interested in pursuing outside candidates.
Lions defensive coordinator (and former Saints DB) Aaron Glenn is a name that's come up for the job — as well as Bills OC Joe Brady.
