A former NFL star is under fire for a "classless" Luigi Mangione post on Tuesday.
Mangione, 26, was arrested for the murder of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson on Monday. Thompson, 50, was shot and killed outside of a New York City hotel on Wednesday, Dec. 11. He was in town for an investor's conference and shot multiple times outside of a Hilton in Midtown Manhattan. Thompson was rushed to the hospital and pronounced dead.
On Monday, Mangione was found at a McDonald's in Altoona, Pennsylvania. He was reportedly found with cash, a passport and a fake ID, which he allegedly gave to police. Mangione has since been taken into custody and charged with murder, while being denied bail.
Mangione has understandably been trending on social media for all of Tuesday. A former NFL star is taking serious heat for his post on the subject matter.
Former NFL star Antonio Brown insinuated that the agent of New York Giants quarterback Tommy DeVito would be representing Mangione.
"Yes I'm calling on behalf of my client, Luigi Mangione," he wrote, sharing a photo of agent Sean Stellato.
NFL fans are ripping Brown for his "classless" post.
"Antonio Brown's post is completely inappropriate and crosses every line of decency," one user wrote. "This isn't the time for jokes or baseless accusations."
One fan added: "Another (crappy) post."

Mangione's family released a brief statement on his arrest on Monday night.
"We only know what we have read in the media," the family statement said. "Our family is shocked and devastated by Luigi's arrest. We offer our prayers to the family of Brian Thompson and we ask people to pray for all involved. We are devastated by this news."
His best friend, Tracy Le, spoke out on the topic.
"Luigi Mangione is probably the most googled keyword today," she wrote.
"When I first saw the news, I was hoping it was just either a common name or a mistake."
Mangione was taken into a courthouse for a hearing on Tuesday. He had a simple message for the American people.
"This is completely out of touch and an insult to the intelligence of the American people."
