There aren't many certainties in life, but Mikayla Demaiter going viral every time she posts new photos on Instagram is one of them.
Demaiter started her career as a goalie for the Bluewater Hawks of the Women's Hockey League. She allowed 43 goals and saved 428 shots on the ice, per The U.S. Sun. Unfortunately for the Canadian, her career was cut short due to injury.
"Dear Hockey, it is time to say goodbye," Demaiter wrote. "It is time to turn the page and move to the next chapter of my life, for the time you will not be my number one focus. I want to thank you for all the places we've gone together. I also want to thank you for all the friends you have made me. My family sends their best as well. I know they will definitely miss seeing us together. I am excited for the future because everything you have taught me will allow me to succeed."
Once hockey was no longer in the picture, Demaiter transitioned into a full-time social media influencer. That turned out to be a wise move.
On Friday, Demaiter had her Instagram followers buzzing over photos from her trip to Italy.
Demaiter shared two photos of her posing in a tight dress along with the caption: "there's a lot of great views in italy, but i can promise you this is the best one."
