Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence were teammates on the Dallas Cowboys for four seasons before Lawrence signed with the Seattle Seahawks this week.

They always seemed to be on good terms, but that changed when Lawrence did an interview with the Seahawks. He roasted the Cowboys during the interview, saying that while Dallas is his home, he's not going to win a Super Bowl with the team.

"Dallas is my home. I've made my home there, my family lives there. I'm forever gonna be there, but I know for sure I'm not gonna win a Super Bowl there. So, yeah. We here," Lawrence said.

Parsons saw the quote and went at Lawrence on social media.

"This what rejection and envy look like! This some clown (expletive)," Parsons tweeted.

Lawrence went right back at Parsons, saying he should spend more time winning and less time tweeting.

"Calling me a clown won't change the fact that I told the truth. Maybe if you spent less time tweeting and more time winning, I wouldn't have left," Lawrence tweeted.

The NFL community has been going nuts over this exchange since it started. Chris Canty, who played for the Cowboys from 2005-08, gave his take on the Twitter beef, saying that he had to leave the Cowboys to go win a Super Bowl with the New York Giants.

"I had to leave the Dallas Cowboys to win my damn championship and the team that beat the best Cowboys team that I was a part of in 2007 was the New York Giants," Canty said. "There was no reason from a talent standpoint that the Giants should've beaten the 2007 Dallas Cowboys, who had 13 Pro Bowlers. But they did on their way to winning Super Bowl 42."

"And the reality is, Jerry Jones still hasn't figured out that the best players don't always make the best team, but the best team always wins. The Dallas Cowboys haven't had trouble finding talented players, but they haven't figured out how to build a football team, and that's where things are right now."

The Cowboys finished the 2024 season with a 7-10 record and haven't gotten past the divisional round of the NFL playoffs since the 1995 season.
