LSU star Flau'jae Johnson is currently one of the biggest names in women's college basketball.

On Friday, Johnson led LSU to a massive 95-36 blowout win against Northwestern State with 24 points and seven rebounds. The former SEC Rookie of the Year is now in her third year at Baton Rouge and is looking to lead the Lady Tigers to another national championship.

In 2023, Johnson played an important role for LSU when they lifted the title. She played alongside Angel Reese, who for her part, is coming off an incredible WNBA rookie campaign with the Chicago Sky.

As it turns out, however, the 5-foot-10 guard would have taken her talents elsewhere had it not been for an intriguing turn of events. On a recent episode of her "Best of Both Worlds" podcast, Johnson revealed that she seriously considered joining Vanderbilt before opting to take her talents to LSU.

Johnson made her revelation as she discussed the recent coaching changes in the WNBA, including the Indiana Fever getting Caitlin Clark a new coach. After two years at the helm, Christie Sides was relieved of her duty as the team's head coach in favor of Stephanie White, who coached the Connecticut Sun in the past two seasons.

Before moving up to the pros, White was the head coach of Vanderbilt, where apparently, she attempted to recruit Johnson.

"The Indiana Fever having Stephanie White as a head coach, I really like that," Johnson states. "I love that. I feel like she's a player's coach.

"I even remember when she was recruiting me at Vanderbilt, I was like 'I like this lady. I want to go play for her.' She ended up leaving Vanderbilt. But if she would have stayed, I probably would have had Vanderbilt in real consideration."

Johnson's revelation has led a number of fans to consider the possibility of the decorated SEC guard fulfilling her desire to play for White in Indiana. In fact, Fever fans have started recruiting Johnson to Indy, where she would potentially form a prolific backcourt partnership with Clark.

"@Flaujae 😁 you're an Indiana Fever🫶🏼" a comment on X read.

"Get big 4 to Indiana," said another.

"Flau'jae you are an Indiana Fever 🥳" declared a supporter.

"bring flau'jae to the fever pls," pleaded another.

"flaujae YOU are an indiana fever !!!!!!" a reaction read.

Interestingly enough, there was one fan, in particular, who suggested that Johnson join Sky to potentially reunite with Reese. These two, however, have a bit of history with each other.

Both Reese and Johnson have admitted that they're no longer as close as they used to be. These two formed quite a bond during their time together in Baton Rouge, but for an undisclosed reason, they fell apart and are no longer close friends. Both have acknowledged that there is no bad blood, but their relationship is no longer at the same level as it was in the past.

For what it's worth, Johnson will be eligible for the 2025 WNBA Draft, so fans will learn soon enough where she will end up in the pros. Ultimately, she might end up battling both Clark and Reese if she is drafted by a team other than Indiana or Chicago.
