Week 2 concluded with Joe Buck and Troy Aikman calling a Monday Night Football clash between the Philadelphia Eagles and Atlanta Falcons.

ESPN got a far closer game than last Monday's San Francisco 49ers rout over the New York Jets. But regardless of how the matchup unfolds, some fans will always find time to critique the commentary.

Social media users discussed Buck and Aikman throughout the bout at Lincoln Financial Field. Fans differed on whether they preferred the main ESPN duo of alternative broadcast featuring Peyton and Eli Manning.

"Buck and Aikman are the best in the biz," a fan declared.

"If you're watching Joe Buck and Aikman over the Manningcast I do not rock with you in the slightest," a viewer said.

"The Manningcast is a good idea, but you can't put it opposite Buck and Aikman for me," producer Mike Fuentes wrote.

"ManningCast is the only way to watch MNF," a fan claimed. "Aikman and Buck are annoying."

"ESPN's best move in recent history, of which there are not many, was going out and getting Aikman and Buck for MNF," a fan stated.

The ManningCast soared in popularity when emerging in 2021, but it appears more fans are now choosing Buck and Aikman over Peyton and Eli. The ESPN2 telecast reportedly received its worst ratings since debuting three years ago despite ESPN touting 20.5 million total viewers for Week 1.

Of course, some fans will always insist Buck and Aikman hate their favorite team anytime they say something remotely critical about them or positive about the opponent. Yet they certainly know what they're doing entering their 23rd season working together.
