Former TV star-turned-racecar driver Frankie Muniz is dealing with a serious health issue that has fans praying for his recovery.

Taking to X yesterday, Muniz revealed that he has been battling a parasite in his system for over three weeks. He's had to undergo multiple emergency room visits and doctor appointments, and that it's causing real problems to his physical and mental health.

"This parasite will not leave me alone. Day 22 of feeling absolutely awful. 2 emergency room visits, two doctors appointments, countless IVs. Third prescription almost completed. Wrecked physically and mentally. So badly want to get back to training etc," Muniz wrote.

Fans on social media are offering their prayers and even some advice on what he can do to mitigate the discomfort.

"Prayers. I can't even imagine what you're going through. I hope you feel better sooner than later. You got this! Looking forward to watching you race again," one user replied.

"You'll need six months just to recover from the recovery," wrote another.

"Hope you feel better man , I know how that feels like unfortunately," a third wrote.

Muniz role to national prominence as the lead role in the 2000s sitcom Malcolm in the Middle. The role propelled him into dozens of TV and film roles, but his passion for racing has also taken him all the way to some of the biggest circuits in NASCAR.

We wish Muniz the best and hope he's able to overcome his health issue soon.
