NBA free agency is off and running, and reported deals are flying in.

The Los Angeles Clippers have been active, and their newest signing has earned some bad PR, to say the least.

Los Angeles signed guard Kevin Porter Jr. to a two-year deal with a player option, according to NBA insider Shams Charania.

"After six weeks of strong play in Greece in April and May, Porter had multiple NBA suitors and chose the Clippers," Charania wrote.

Of course, it's the reason why Porter was in Greece that has earned the Clippers criticism. The former Houston Rockets and Cleveland Cavaliers guard did not play in the NBA last season after being charged with domestic assault on his former girlfriend.

Porter took a plea deal, and once he finishes his court ordered intervention program, his plea will turn to not guilty and will essentially be cleared from his record.

Nevertheless, fans are not letting the Clippers off the hook for acquiring the 24-year-old guard.

"Should be playing in jail tbh," a Raptors fan said.

"Clippers are disgusting," another person added.

"Clippers signed Josh Primo and now this guy, what a sick organization," a Warriors fan said.

"Oh this is nasty work. And from the same franchise that signed Josh Primo. Gross," a fourth person said.

"NBA teams do not care if you beat up women that's crazy," a fifth commenter chimed in.

In his last NBA action, Porter averaged 19.2 points, 5.7 assists and 5.3 rebounds per game for the Houston Rockets during the 2022-23 season.
