Falcons Quarterback Michael Penix Announces Engagement Before 'Sunday Night Football'

What an exciting past couple weeks it's been for Atlanta Falcons rookie quarterback Michael Penix Jr.
Just days removed from being named the team's starting QB and helping lead them to a 34-7 win over the Giants, the Falcons' eighth overall pick shared with fans that he and his partner, Olivia Carter, are getting married.
"I will love you forever," Penix captioned the video of his proposal on Instagram. "I can't wait to do life with you."
It didn't take long for Atlanta's social media team to celebrate the news — who wished the 24-year-old well on X: "Congrats to @themikepenix and his fiancée on their engagement!" the team posted.

Fans joined in on the fun in the Falcons' mentions.
"bros winning on and off the field," PrizePicks replied.
"No durag?" a user asked. "That's real love."
"Does this mean he's gonna throw for 4 TD's on Sunday Night Football?" another wondered.
"Big few weeks for Michael Penix Jr.," said Marc Raimondi.
"Some fun possibilities with the wedding hashtags here," a fan commented.
"My dawg got his first start and told shawty it's up."
Penix finished his first start by completing 18-of-27 passes for 202 yards and a really unlucky interception that tipped off the hands of tight end Kyle Pitts.
Most importantly, the first-year signal-caller put Atlanta is pole position for the NFC South crown — owning the tiebreaker over Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers despite identical 8-7 records.
The Falcons were a lot of people's early picks to make some noise in the division and possibly win a playoff game. But that was with the expectation that Kirk Cousins would pick up where he left off in Minnesota.
Inserting Penix into the lineup has brought some new hope to Mercedes-Benz Stadium, however. And Raheem Morris and Co. have the chance to make good on those preseason predictions with a pair of wins over Washington and Carolina as the year wraps up — the former of which will be broadcast on NBC's "Sunday Night Football" tomorrow.
