ESPN is taking heat for its coverage of Cooper Flagg's injury at the ACC Tournament on Thursday.

Flagg, the standout freshman and likely No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, was injured during Duke's quarterfinals game against Georgia Tech in the ACC Tournament on Thursday afternoon. Flagg went down with an apparent ankle injury toward the end of the first half. The five-star freshman from Maine was helped off of the floor by his teammates and had to be taken into the locker room in a wheelchair.

The possible No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft is expected to be out for the rest of the game.

ESPN has been taking some heat for its coverage of Flagg's injury, though. ESPN's cameras quickly panned to Cooper Flagg's parents in the crowd.

"The media team that cut to Cooper Flagg's stunned parents after he got injured is evil bro 😭😭 Prayers up for Cooper," one fan wrote.

"Why does ESPN feel the need to show Ccoper Flagg's parents every two minutes," one fan added.

ESPN announcer Cory Alexander is also facing criticism for what he said about Flagg's parents. He claimed that Flagg's parents cared more about Duke winning than their son's health.

"Cory Alexander saying that Flagg's parents are more concerned with Duke winning than their son is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard in my life," one fan wrote.

"Cory Alexander is the dumbest announcer, saying Cooper Flagg's parents biggest concern is Duke winning today's game. Over their son? No," one fan added.

"I'm sure Cooper Flagg's parents' main priority is NOT a Duke win. they care way more about their son than a game. Just stop talking," one fan added.

Duke, the No. 1 seed in the ACC Tournament, is leading Georgia Tech, 48-43, in the second half of the game.

The Blue Devils are 28-3 on the season, 19-1 in the ACC, and in line for a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. However, if Flagg is out for an extended period of time, their title chances will go down quite a bit.
