Erin Andrews, Carrie Underwood On The Same Page Politically

Erin Andrews and Carrie Underwood have a lot in common.
The two women play pivotal roles in the National Football League. Andrews, of course, works for Fox Sports, covering the biggest game each and every weekend. Underwood, meanwhile, has become the voice of Sunday Night Football. She's been singing the theme song for NBC's Sunday Night Football since 2013.
While Andrews and Underwood are both playing big roles in the National Football League, they are on the same page politically.
Andrews has made it clear that she wants to play things down the middle politically, to stay unbiased for viewers.
"I can't deliver the news that Aaron Rodgers is done for the season without people commenting, 'Oh, she looks like she's so sad.' What am I supposed to do, stand on my head and tell dirty jokes?" Andrews said in 2017, per the New York Post. "So for me to come out and say, 'This is what I believe in politics, this is what I believe about what's going on in the NFL.' Nobody wants to hear that from me."
"I'm not educated in a lot of what is being talked about with politics the way that people on CNN or Fox News [are]," Andrews said. "You shouldn't be listening to that from me."
Underwood, meanwhile, had a similar message.
"I try to stay far out of politics if possible, at least in public, because nobody wins," Andrews said in an interview with The Guardian. "It's crazy. Everybody tries to sum everything up and put a bow on it, like it's black and white. And it's not like that."
She added that she gets annoyed when "more people try to pin me places politically."
Those are certainly fair positions for two extremely public figures to take, especially when they're involved in a sport like football.
