Dwyane Wade's wife, "Bring It On" actress Gabrielle Union, is officially saying goodbye to one of the most popular social media platforms in the world.
Union, 52, announced on Friday that she's leaving X, formerly known as Twitter. She released a lengthy statement regarding her decision. The "10 Things I Hate About You" star claims the platform isn't as inclusive as it once was. There's a lot of political commentary taking place right now in large part because Donald Trump defeated Kamala Harris in the presidential election.
Instead of sticking through this rough patch, Union has decided to call it quits.
"There are pivotal moments in life when we must declare that enough is enough - and for me, today is that day," Union wrote. "Platforms like X were founded on authentic connections, true engagement, and creative changes to the terms of service - and the return of volatile figures - I find myself at a crossroads, facing a direction I can no longer fully support. I am committed to engaging in spaces that truly value inclusivity, respect, and integrity in the digital world. Sometimes, that means recognizing the last straw and knowing when to step away.
"To everyone I've connected with here, thank you for the laughs, the insights, and the endless sport. I am not disappearing completely!"
Union then listed her social media handles for Instagram, Threads, TikTok and BlueSky among other platforms.

Union isn't the only prominent figure leaving X behind. Countless media members have ditched the platform over the past week, including former CNN host Don Lemon.
"I once believed that it was a place for honest debate and discussion, transparency and free speech. But I now feel it does not serve that purpose," Lemon said in a video shared on X. "In addition, starting this Friday, November 15, X is implementing new terms of service, which among other things states that 'All disputes... be brought exclusively in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas or state courts located in Tarrant County, Texas."
It's possible that Union will eventually return to X, but that seems unlikely at the moment.
As for Wade, the NBA legend has not yet revealed his social media plans.
