Dolly Parton is an icon that Taylor Swift has looked up to throughout her career. Swift will likely be happy to hear what Parton thinks of her and her relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
Parton, 78, recently caught up with E! News while promoting her new jewelry line with designer Kendra Scott. Parton made her thoughts on the iconic music star and her relationship with the three-time Super Bowl-winning tight end very clear. Parton first wanted everyone to know that she loves Swift and her music.
"I'm crazy about Taylor," Parton told E! News in a piece published on Wednesday, Nov. 13. "I just admire her so much, what she's done with her life, her career."
Parton, who's been in the business for decades, said that she's loved Swift's albums. She's also a major fan of Swift's relationship with the NFL tight end.
"She's such a great artist and songwriter," Parton said of the 14-time Grammy Award winner.
"And then their little love affair. I'm thinking people love romance."
Swift feels the same way. She told the Hollywood Reporter last year that she's a massive fan of Parton and her music.
"Dolly is a force of evolution and transformation in our industry, but she does it with such playful levity it almost looks effortless," Swift told the publication. "Her sense of humor and mischief are easily my favorite things about her, because I think it forces the world to reconcile that a woman can be a serious artist and writer who also has raucous fun with it, can make people laugh and be in on every joke."
"She's never stopped challenging herself to clear new hurdles and explore new territory artistically, and I think that speaks to her great curiosity about the human condition," she added. "She's a legendary empath and the storyteller for the ages. She's also having the most fun doing it."
Perhaps we'll see Dolly Parton sitting in a suite with Taylor Swift at a Kansas City Chiefs game down the line this season. Maybe the Super Bowl?
The Chiefs, 9-0, will take on the Bills on Sunday at 4:25 p.m. E.T.
