Deion Sanders was one of the top players selected in his own draft class, and all signs point to the same outcome for his son Shedeur.

The younger Sanders is the quarterback at Colorado, where he's being coached by his father. Sanders is in the midst of another great college season, and the Buffaloes have real optimism for the campaign at 4-1 on the year.

Some, like ESPN's Mel Kiper, have said that Sanders is the best quarterback in the 2025 draft class. In a league like the NFL, where having a franchise quarterback is everything, it could result in Sanders being one of the top picks.

During a recent appearance on the "Nightcap" podcast, Deion Sanders appeared to tip his hand as to what team he'd like his son to end up with in the draft.

"What do you do business-wise if you're the Dolphins?," asked the head coach.

"Do you take a quarterback, which is what I'm saying, or do you say, 'Tua, let's check this out, let's see what we're going to do.' Is his health more important than that?"

After former Miami player Chad Johnson caught on to Sanders mentioning the Dolphins, Sanders admitted that he was attempting to make the connection.

"So you just got the revelation, huh?," said the Hall of Famer.

In the past, Sanders has hinted at having some sort of influence on his son's draft destination - not unlike Eli Manning or John Elway before him.

"I want what's best for him," Sanders once said.

"I want him to be happy as well. You really don't get to dictate where your son gets to go because there's a draft process, but you know us. You know how we are, we know who ain't trying to win in the NFL."

Sanders, on the "Million Dollaz Worth of Game" podcast, even mentioned Manning by name, saying that "it's going to be an Eli" when it comes to where Shedeur and two-way star Travis Hunter are drafted.

The Dolphins are looking to salvage their season after Tua Tagovailoa's concussion. If he's unable to return or decides to retire, the door will be open for Miami to consider drafting another quarterback.

If they have the pick and Sanders is on the board in that scenario, it would make a lot of sense for the Dolphins to take a chance on him.

For now, we'll see how Sanders and his father navigate the rest of the season at Colorado. The Buffaloes are off this week, but they'll face Kansas State next week as they look to reach five wins for the first time under Deion's guidance.
