Six days ago, Aaron Rodgers tried awfully hard to debunk the idea that he has a say in what the New York Jets do from a personnel standpoint. Well, his plans came crumbling down this Tuesday.

Last week, Rodgers tried to dismiss the notion that he has power within the Jets organization. While on Pat McAfee's show, the veteran quarterback said, "It's interesting the amount of power that people think that I have, which I don't."

On Tuesday, the Jets acquired Rodgers' former teammate, Davante Adams, in a blockbuster trade with the Las Vegas Raiders. Shortly after the deal was agreed to, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport revealed that Rodgers lobbied for this trade.

"Aaron Rodgers wanted it. Recruited for it. And the Jets can use it," Rapoport said.

After those comments were made by Rapoport, NFL fans rushed over to social media to let Rodgers know how they feel about this entire situation.

"People can downgrade Aaron Rodgers' power within that organization all they want. Proof is in the pudding," one person wrote on X.

"No Aaron Rodgers doesn't have power within the Jets organization," another person sarcastically said. "And don't say the Davante Adams trade or firing Robert Saleh or signing Allen Lazard or hiring Nathaniel Hackett or demoting Nathaniel Hackett or signing Randall Cobb or putting Mike Williams on the trade block or flirting with signing David Bakhtiari or choosing which team the Packers traded him to or having phone calls with Woody Johnson or."

Over the past two years, the Jets have brought in some of Rodgers' close friends, such as Nathaniel Hackett, Randall Cobb and Allen Lazard. It's pretty evident he has some pull.

We're not sure why Rodgers can't just accept that his voice holds a lot of weight in East Rutherford.
