Danica Patrick's Insane Workout Routines (1:01)

If you've been following Danica Patrick on social media, you know she's been vocal about the upcoming election.

In the past, Patrick has described her political affiliation as "not a liberal" and "somewhere between republican and independent." She's made her disapproval of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris and affinity for Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Donald Trump well-known, and has even made appearances at various right-wing political events this fall. A couple of weeks ago, Patrick called the upcoming election "good vs. evil."

Interestingly, despite her outspokenness about politics, Patrick recently made a surprising admission: she's never voted before.

"There's two things that you're told as an athlete to not talk about and that's politics and religion. So I just never got into it," Patrick explained. "I never knew if it mattered. I never knew if my vote really counted and if that one really made a difference."

Patrick went on to say that "with everything that's gone on over the years," she's come to realize she wants to make her voice--and vote--heard.

"When you see how few votes it comes down to, you think about what would happen if I voted and then I helped some of my friends vote and then my friends helped my friends, and then you really turn the tide," Patrick said. "I feel like it's time to be counted."

Last week, Patrick had the opportunity to moderate a town hall featuring Republican vice presidential nominee J.D. Vance, going on to praise the Ohio politician following the event.

"What an incredible honor to be able to moderate for @jdvance at his Town Hall in Greensboro, North Carolina," Patrick wrote. "I lived in NC for 5 years while I raced @nascar and I really fell in love with the beauty of both the state and the people. They are very hard working, faith based, and family oriented…. Felt good to be back.

"If you want to have leaders that actually lead, can intelligently answer questions, know what will move the country forward, care about future generations, put family and country try first, and don't need a teleprompter to order coffee…. Well, I think the last comment makes it clear what I will say next."

The 2024 Presidential election is set for Nov. 5.
