Danica Patrick Mocked Joe Biden During Television Appearance This Week

Danica Patrick took a jab at former president Joe Biden during a media appearance this week.
Patrick had been largely apolitical throughout her racing career and into the beginning of her post-driving life. However, during the runup to the 2024 presidential election, the longtime NASCAR and IndyCar pro began openly expressing her views, which had often been right-leaning but now were distinctly in support of Republican candidate Donald Trump. Patrick later cast a presidential vote for the first time ever, helping Trump defeat Democrat Kamala Harris.
"It felt like a calling. I'd love to hear some of your perspective on how it all feels because it's been a tidal wave of change in what you do and how people see you. Standing up for something is a powerful thing because it's when you're in your truth," Patrick said. "When you're in your truth, you're quite magnetic. It gains momentum really fast, because when we're doing what's meant for us, the universe just lines things up for us. It went really quickly for me."
Patrick frequently shares her political takes on social media or on her podcast, but she also appears on other mediums as well. This week, she spoke with the outlet Real America's Voice News about, among other things, Joe Biden's use of an autopen to sign executive orders and pardons during his time in office.
There have been some complaints from President Trump and others that the autopen-signed documents should be declared invalid.
It seems unlikely that that will happen, but Patrick believes using an actual pen should be required in the future, conveying that point with a jab at those on the left.
"The Autopen might identify as a human and, in particular, the President, and so then, of course, we have a question to answer," Patrick said. "But I think it would just unveil the more ridiculous nature of the left in terms of the ideologies and beliefs that they've been trying to push on people.
"So, you know, maybe this should be a gold standard for the President—that things need to be signed by him. We watched President Trump sign so many executive orders as soon as he got into office. So we should, as a baseline, start with the idea that they should sign all of their own documents."
It should be noted that Trump himself has used an autopen before, but claims he's only done so to sign letters or other pieces of mail. Either way, the odds of this controversy resulting in any pardons being overturned seems slim.
Getting back to Patrick though, her opinions are bound to tick some people off while also endearing her to others.
She's not going to stop saying what she believes in though, that much is clear.
