Meet The Girlfriend Of Dak Prescott (1:26)

Dak Prescott remains on high alert following a string of thefts targeting athletes.

The FBI issued a formal warning to sports leagues after "organized theft groups" robbed the homes of multiple sports stars. Burglars have targeted houses owned by Joe Burrow, Patrick Mahomes, and Travis Kelce.

Prescott's fiancée, Sarah Jane Ramos, had properly worth nearly $40,000 stolen from her car last week. The incident occurred a day before someone broke into the home of Luka Doncic and stole jewelry worth over $20,000 from the Dallas Mavericks star.

On Wednesday, Prescott told reporters that he's always taken personal security matters seriously.

"I can't have it be written about every which way that I go to protect my security because then I'll just be opening a loophole," Prescott said, per ESPN's Todd Archer. "But I've always understood who I was or where I was, especially being the quarterback of this team and target that I am, whether it be for a natural robbery or whether it be for losing a game and whatever. I've understood the position that I am in. So, for me, it's more about the day and now protecting my fiancée and my daughter."

Last Thursday, Ramos had designer handbags and wallets, electronics, cash, and credit cards stolen from her vehicle. Police claimed she forgot to lock her car door when hurrying to a Pilates class on a rainy morning.

Prescott wouldn't link the incident with the recent influx of organized theft targeting athletes, but he'll remain diligent to protect his family.

"I don't want to tie that in, and I don't want anybody to tie that in with other things that have been happening," Prescott said. "I mean, her car got broken into at Pilates in Dallas. Who knows how many times that happens a day? So that's that.

"But as far as the other -- protecting the home and that -- yeah, I'm going to take every step necessary that I can to ensure the safety and that doesn't happen to me."
