Cowboys QB Cooper Rush's Wife Turned Heads During Season Finale
Yesterday at 10:39 PM
Cooper Rush did not play in the season finale for the Dallas Cowboys, but his wife Lauryn still made her presence felt.
Rush started eight straight games in place of Dak Prescott before Sunday's matchup with the Washington Commanders. With the team already eliminated from playoff contention, Dallas elected to give Trey Lance the starting nod at quarterback to close out the campaign, leaving Rush to watch from the sidelines.
His wife and daughter still seemed to have fun yesterday though. Lauryn Rush shared photos from the day on Instagram, turning heads in her all-denim outfit complete with black cowboy boots and a black Stetson hat.
"Year 8 it's a wrap 🫶🏼🏈," Rush wrote.
Cowboys supporters and Rush fans immediately flocked to the comments section.
"Should have stuck with Cooper for the last game! Thanks for sharing your family with us! 💙," one person wrote.
"Lauryn it's been so fun watching your little family grow and the smile on your face get bigger and bigger over the years! You absolutely deserve this little life you've created for yourself!!! Cheers to you guys!" a second person said.
"Hoping to see your little family back in Dallas Next season! 💙," a third person said.
"I'd love for Coop to be back in Dallas next year. I wish Jerry wasn't so sold on Dak. Coop deserves to compete for QB1.," a fourth person added.
"Wish they went with cooper this afternoon," a fifth person chimed in.
In 12 games (eight starts), Rush completed 60.7% of his passes for 1,844 yards, 12 touchdowns and five interceptions.
By not playing Sunday, Rush missed out on the opportunity to claim a $500,000 playing time incentive, but Cowboys owner Jerry Jones insisted after the game that didn't play a role in the team's decision.
"I didn't even know about it," Jones said. "I didn't even know about it until I read about it, so nothing at all. Those incentives are in there for the team. We put them in there so that if someone is, in his case, as the backup quarterback, has to play, he has the financial incentives. They're usually put in there because of the people representing him. They should be. ... He [Rush] did earn some pretty serious incentives this year."
