A significant change could be coming to the men's NCAA Tournament, and college basketball fans aren't happy about it.

The tournament could expand from its current 68-team field, as Yahoo Sports' Ross Dellenger reported on Wednesday.

Dellenger says that the NCAA has presented Division I conference commissioners with models of the tournament that feature both 72 and 76 teams.

It's clear to see that fans aren't happy about the classic tournament structure being changed in the future.

"please do not explained the NCAA Tournament field. it is perfect just the way it is. sincerely, college basketball fans," said one fan.

"NCAA loves making their product miles worse for marginal profit," another fan said.

"This is so stupid. Tournament is already just a beauty contest for casuals. More teams just waters it down to where they should just invite everyone," one fan added.

"What if we expand the tournament to include everyone, but you can't get kicked out. You just all play a certain number of games and the team with the best record wins. We could call it - A season," said another fan, sarcastically.

"Please leave the tournament alone. What are we doing??," another fan asked.

"There are bad ideas, there are horrible ideas, then there's this," one fan said.

"As historic as UConn's run was and how wild N.C. State's was, I really just couldn't enjoy the tournament knowing Wake Forest and Villanova weren't in it," another fan joked.

The answer on expansion from college basketball fans seems to be a resounding no.

With traditions being eliminated in favor of expansion and revenue across college sports, it seems that fans want at least one thing to remain the same as it has been for so many years.
