Colt McCoy is one of the best quarterbacks in recent college football history.

The legendary Texas Longhorns quarterback led his program to a national title game appearance in 2009. McCoy went on to have a long and successful career in the National Football League. He's now working in broadcasting, though it doesn't appear to be going very well. McCoy is working as NBC's top color commentator for their college football broadcasts.

College football fans are bothered by him.

"Colt McCoy is one of the worst announcers ever. Please keep him away from UW games from here on out," one fan wrote.

"Colt McCoy talks like he's reading out loud in class and isn't a strong enough reader to risk vocal inflection," one fan added.

"Not a fan of Colt McCoy doing Husky games. Man is he annoying," one fan added.

"Colt McCoy is pretty bad on commentary," another fan wrote.

It's been a rough start to McCoy's broadcasting career, as he took a lot of heat for his performance in Week 2's Nebraska vs. Colorado game, too.

But perhaps he'll get better moving forward. It's still pretty early.

NBC.

Did NBC make a wrong move in pushing McCoy into a broadcasting role?
