College Football Fans Want ABC Broadcaster Fired On Sunday

College football fans weren't happy with one aspect of the College Football Playoff first round game broadcast on Saturday evening in Columbus.
Ohio State, the No. 8 seed, hosted No. 9 seed Tennessee at Ohio Stadium. The Buckeyes made easy work of their SEC opponent. Ohio State topped Tennessee in a blowout, 42-17, to advance to the quarterfinals, where a rematch against No. 1 seed Oregon awaits. That should be a fun one.
Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit were on the call on Saturday night. They were joined by Bill Lemonnier, a rules expert. It's safe to say that college football fans were not happy with the performance by ABC's rules and officiating expert.
College football fans were frustrated on multiple occasions, when Bill's analysis differed from the result on the field.
There was an interception thrown by Ohio State quarterback Will Howard in the end zone. Bill suggested that the Tennessee defensive back didn't have control of the football before he went out of bounds. He thought the play could get overturned, though the ruling on the field stood.
College football fans were quick to complain about his performance.
"Bill Lemonnier might be the worst dude ever," one fan wrote.
"Bill LeMonnier has had a rough run of late," one fan added.
"Once again, Bill Lemonnier was a notoriously awful B1G referee and the fact he continues to be the third party officiating "expert" is farcical," one fan added.
"Shocker that Bill Lemonnier again is just dead wrong on a review. How's this dude have a job?" one fan added.
"I want the type of job security that the retired official espn sticks with Herbie and Fowler has," one fan added.
"I've had to watch a handful of ABC Georgia games with Fowler and Herbstriet and Bill Lemonier might be the most worthless addition to a booth for officiating insight. Completely out of his element, consistently wrong, adds nothing," one fan added.
Is it time for ABC to make a change?
