The Kansas City Chiefs traded up in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft to select Texas wide receiver Xavier Worthy. It's a move that many people have raved about.

Fox Sports radio host Colin Cowherd, however, wants people to pump the brakes.

"There are more misses on wide receiver than any other position - 73 percent of first-round receivers miss," Cowherd said. "So, why is the world guaranteeing me the Chiefs just won the Super Bowl because they took a 160 pound track guy at wide receiver?"

This is a fair concern from Cowherd, albeit Chiefs fans will probably roast him for it.

Worthy put the league on notice by running a 4.21 in the 40-yard dash. However, that doesn't necessarily mean he'll be a great player.

Of course, Chiefs general manager Brett Veach is amped up about the pick.

"It's a speed game and the more speed you have on the field, the harder it is for defenses to take away different elements of the game,'' Veach said, via ESPN. "Anytime you can add speed and add a guy with that type of versatility, I think you're going to be interested. Just our ability to play vertical and have speed on the field at all times and having Xavier and Hollywood ... I think as the season goes on here, I think we'll have just an offense that can attack in multiple different ways and always keep defenses guessing.''

The Chiefs could address their offensive line or defense on Day 2 of the draft.
