Colin Cowherd Has Brutally Honest Message For Yankees Fans

Meet The Daughter Of Colin Cowherd (1:02)

The New York Yankees advanced to their fourth American League Championship Series in the last eight seasons on Thursday night.

They beat the Kansas City Royals in four games in the ALDS and await the winner of the Guardians-Tigers series.

If there was ever a year for them to get to a World Series, it's this one since they don't have to go through the Houston Astros. In their previous three trips to the ALCS, they've lost to the Astros each time.

Colin Cowherd saw the Yankees advance on Thursday but he's still not a big believer in them.

"Today, they're just another passenger in the VIP lounge before takeoff," Cowherd said. "The Dodgers ownership group has more money. I mean, the Dodgers spend more money than the Yankees but the difference is the Dodgers push all of theirs down the road but the Dodgers spent $1 billion this offseason."

"The Delta lounge now, they're just one of the VIP members. Everybody's getting in. The Padres are in it, the Mets are in it, the Yankees are in it, the Dodgers are in it. They're in the ALCS but it doesn't feel the same."

The Yankees will try and prove Cowherd wrong when the ALCS gets underway on Monday. They'll find out who they play on Saturday afternoon after the conclusion of Game 5 between the Guardians and Tigers.
