Report: Details From Taylor Swift And Travis Kelce's Wedding Planning (1:24)

Despite how real Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's relationship may seem, there's always going to be people doubting its legitimacy.

Earlier this year, a fake contract regarding Swift and Kelce's relationship surfaced on social media. It was immediately shot down by the All-Pro tight end's camp. Unfortunately, that hasn't stopped skeptics from questioning if they're trying to market their brands through romantic gestures.

While on CNBC's "Squawk Box" this week, Kansas City Chiefs president Mark Donovan was actually asked if Swift and Kelce's relationship is a marketing strategy. He quickly dismissed that idea.

"I'd love to say that it was a marketing strategy, but it is an authentic relationship," Donovan said. "And we're happy to have it, and it's been nothing but good for us."

Donovan then praised Swift for being an "authentic fan" of the Chiefs. She's constantly supporting the franchise whenever she's not on tour.

"I think the best thing I can say about the whole relationship and the impact it's had on us is, Taylor Swift is an authentic member of the Kansas City Chiefs kingdom," Donovan continued. "She's an authentic fan and that matters to our fans and our fan base and to matters to us and we try to respect that."

Swift has attended a plethora of Chiefs games over the past 12 months. It doesn't matter if they're playing at Arrowhead Stadium or at an opposing team's hostile environment.

With the NFL playoffs approaching faster than anyone wants to admit, it won't be long before Swift is cheering Kelce and the Chiefs on in a win-or-go-home game.

The Chiefs will be back in action this Sunday against the Carolina Panthers. Although they fell short to the Buffalo Bills last weekend, they remain in prime position to earn the No. 1 seed in the AFC.
