Bears No. 1 pick Caleb Williams returned to the Galen Center on Saturday for USC's men's basketball showdown vs. Wisconsin.
And while fans were certainly loving the new haircut, it was the cast on his right throwing hand that raised questions.
According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, Williams had a minor cyst removed after the season and is expected to be fine. But that didn't stop users from expressing concern on social media.
#Bears QB Caleb Williams had a cyst removed, which is why he's wearing the cast on his hand. It's minor, he's fine. https://t.co/DAyuhtwdtD

"WHY THE [EXPLETIVE] DOES HE HAVE A CAST ON ... SO SCARY ... GET HEALTHY MY GLORIOUS KING GOAT CALEB," a fan said.
"Take my hand, don't take Caleb's!" another pleaded.
"WHAT DID THEY DO TO MY BABYS WRIST," another person asked.
"Ummmm cast???!!" a user posted.
"Cast aside, I love the fresh cut for my dawg Caleb! Remember when Jalen hurts cut his hair? He took the eagles to the Super Bowl shortly after. Now imagine what Caleb can do considering he is a far better QB. Look good, feel good, play good. Simple as that," another fan replied.
"Blaming the cyst for his deep ball accuracy 4k and 30 TDs coming next season."
Williams finished his rookie campaign with a 5-12 record, 3,541 yards, 20 touchdowns and six interceptions. The 2022 Heisman Trophy winner also completed 62.5% of his passes while still leaving a lot to be desired as far as accuracy goes.
All in all it was a mixed first year for Caleb who flashed massive potential but also had his share of inconsistent play.
We'll see what Year 2 holds for Williams and the Bears who will be under different leadership in 2025.
