It was an incredible moment for sports fans everywhere to see two of the biggest athletes in their respective sports come together for a single event. This was the case on Tuesday as Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark joined world No. 1 golfer Nelly Korda for the LPGA's The ANNIKA pro-am tournament in Belleair, Florida.
In her pro-am debut, Clark played the front nine with Korda before the WNBA All-Star partnered with the competition's host, golf legend Annika Storenstam, for the back nine. Before Clark and Korda parted ways, though, the latter gifted the Fever guard with a handful of autographed golf balls. In exchange, Korda requested that Clark give her a basketball as well.

Clark promised to send over a ball to Korda, saying that she'll send her a direct message. Upon seeing the above video that was posted by the LPGA Tour's official Instagram account, Clark joked that she's now acting with a great sense of urgency to fulfill Korda's special request.
"Going up in my office immediately," Clark wrote in the comments section.
Earlier in the day, Clark and Korda also swapped autographed jerseys, so it's not as if Korda is going home empty-handed. The top-ranked golfer still wants her basketball, though.

All in all, Clark's first pro-am appearance was a smashing success. One of the motivations behind the LPGA's invitation was to promote the sport to a new fanbase. Based on the reception Clark's appearance has earned from her supporters, it is clear that this objective has been met.
