Meet Caitlin Clark's Boyfriend (1:19)

After a tremendous rookie season, the sky is the limit for Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever in 2025.

Clark, who was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, led the league in assists and three-pointers made as a rookie while leading the Fever to the playoffs for the first time in eight years. With Aliyah Boston, Kelsey Mitchell and other key contributors returning in 2025, the Fever project as a team on the rise under the leadership of new head coach Stephanie White.

A national champion at Purdue University in 1999 and star with the Fever from 2000-04, this is White's second stint coaching the Indiana franchise. In 2015-16, she went 37-31 overall with two playoff appearances and one trip to the WNBA Finals.

After the Connecticut Sun parted ways with White despite her going 55-25 with two WNBA semifinal appearances the last two seasons, the Fever pounced, hiring the 47-year-old to replace Christie Sides.

There's plenty of buzz about what Clark can accomplish under White's tutelage, and while we're going to have to wait several months to get our first glimpse at their partnership, the Fever shared footage of Clark's first workout with her new coach on Monday.

In an interview with ESPN after she was officially hired last month, White told ESPN she was excited to work with Clark.

"I spoke with Caitlin last night, and I think just overall excitement," White said. "I have been watching Caitlin play since she was an eighth grader, when I was coaching in the college realm and covering her games in college, and just an exciting time for me, very excited to be working with her and this young team.

"She's a student of the game. She loves the game of basketball. She has been so great in how she's handled all of the attention. She just wants to play. She just wants to win, and I'm looking forward to coaching players like that and this young franchise, this young team, and taking our next steps."

The Fever's first 2025 regular season game is set for May 17, five months from tomorrow, against the Chicago Sky.
