Browns Player Calls George Pickens 'Fake Tough Guy' After Upset Win
Yesterday at 10:07 AM
Sparks are always bound to fly when the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers do battle. But the end of last night's game between the two AFC North teams saw some extra-curricular activities by both teams.
On the final play of the game, with the Steelers trailing 24-19, Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson tried to win the game on a Hail Mary pass to the endzone. Browns defensive back Denzel Ward knocked down the pass to end the game, but Steelers wide receiver George Pickens was furious and started scuffling with Browns defender Greg Newsome II.
Amazon Prime's cameras didn't catch it, but Newsome was very heavily guarding Pickens to the point where on any other kind of play it might have been ruled pass interference. Newsome pushed Pickens all the way into the stands and the two had to be separated by security once the game ended to avoid anyone doing something they'd regret.
That didn't stop Newsome from poking and prodding at the Steelers star wideout though. Taking to X after the game last night, Newsome called Pickens out for being a "fake tough guy."
Fake tough guy 😂😂😂

Naturally, Steelers fans have called out Newsome for playing on a Browns team that is a mere 3-8 following their win over the Steelers. But Browns fans are reveling in their win over their hated rivals regardless.
"Buddy you're lucky they dont call PIs on Hail Mary's!!!! Enjoy the basement!!!" one Steelers fan declared.
"Held the entire game then instantly hopped on twitter lmao," another Steelers fan wrote.
"The Steelers never just lose. They also have to have one of their star players chirped harshly by an opposing defensive player," a third fan wrote.
In the grand scheme of things, the game itself likely doesn't change much about either team's future. The Steelers are still firmly in contention for the AFC North title while the Browns are likely going to miss the playoffs.
Will Pickens clap back at Newsome?
