5 Sports Records That May Never Be Broken (2:45)

The NFL playoffs are set to begin this weekend, and 12 teams will be in action as they try to make it to the Divisional round next week. Some of the best teams and players in the league will be in win-or-go-home scenarios, making for an exciting and dramatic weekend of playoff football.

Some teams have been among the NFL's elite all season long, while others found out they would be in the postseason on the regular season's final day. One ESPN football analyst says that a team in the former category needs to be careful when they take the field this weekend, because an upset could be in order.

During Thursday's episode of "Pardon the Interruption," Booger McFarland joined the show to break down this weekend's Wild Card matchups.

He said that he was most intrigued by the No. 2 vs No. 7 matchup in the NFC that sees the Philadelphia Eagles hosting the Green Bay Packers.

"It's gotta be the Packers at Eagles. That game intrigues me so much. You're talking about the youngest football team in the league in the Green Bay Packers. A team that is super talented. And I get it. Their do-it-all wideout Christian Watson, he's out with an ACL," McFarland noted.

"But they're loaded at the wide receiver position. Now, it's all gonna depend on Jordan Love. He hit the funny bone. By all accounts, he's gonna be fine. He's gonna start. He'll be okay. The Philadelphia Eagles and you look at Jalen Hurts. He's coming off a concussion. Is he gonna be ready to play? We know he's practicing. But is he gonna be able to be at peak level not having played in a couple of weeks? I think the Eagles could be rusty."

McFarland said that the Packers have everything they need to upset the Eagles, because they were in the exact same position last season and defeated the Dallas Cowboys.

"Remember, the Packers did this last year. They went on the road, went into Dallas, and beat the Cowboys. They didn't just beat the Cowboys. They beat the hell out of the Cowboys," McFarland said.

"So, here is a Green Bay Packer team that is young, they're super talented, they're hungry. They understand how talented they are. And I think they are just young enough and ornery enough to go into Philadelphia and deal with everything with the Philadelphia Eagles. Bring it and get an upset."

We'll see what happens on Sunday when these two teams meet, but after the season the Packers had and with what they were able to accomplish last season, there's no reason to think they can't beat the Eagles.
