Angel Reese served as the Chicago Sky representative for the 2025 WNBA Draft Lottery on Sunday.

At the conclusion of the draft lottery, the teams with the first four picks were: the Dallas Wings at No. 1, Los Angeles Sparks at No. 2, Chicago Sky at No. 3 and Washington Mystics at No. 4.

Following the draft lottery results, Reese took to social media. She posted a cryptic message that has fans confused on social media.

"HVL [Hailey Van Lith]," Reese said. "that's all ima say."

The question that arose after Reese's tweet was whether the Sky star was referring to Chicago selecting Van Lith with the No. 3 pick in the 2025 draft, or if Reese was giving praise to Van Lith for her performance while playing for the TCU Horned Frogs on Sunday.

Some fans were under the impression that Reese was vouching for the Sky to draft Van Lith, who's currently playing in her fifth season of college basketball.

"Man I am not watching her Chuck up 2 0 shots a game all season," said one fan

"she's been sooo overlooked in this whole mock draft conversation!" said another fan

"I hope not, i just don't think she would be a good fit," mentioned one fan

Others believed she was supporting her former teammate with the LSU Tigers.

"guys she's not talking about the pick. lol she can't support ? geez," said one fan

"Love you still hyping up your girl," said another fan

"Thrivingggggggg," mentioned one fan

Reese and Van Lith played alongside each other on the LSU Tigers for one season, 2023 to 2024. During their season together, the two helped the Tigers earn a 31-6 record, entering the NCAA tournament as the No. 3 seed.

While Reese has since taken her talents to the WNBA, Van Lith transferred to the TCU Horned Frogs for the 2024-25 women's college basketball season.

On Sunday, Van Lith secured a couple of career milestones.

Van Lith recorded 18 points and 10 assists in a 76-73 win for the Horned Frogs. Her stat line helped her join 2K-point club while also posting her first career 10-assist double-double.
