Angel Reese's Message For WNBA 'Haters' Immediately Backfired On Her

Chicago Sky star Angel Reese tried to dunk on her critics Tuesday night, but her best efforts failed miserably.
Reese, the No. 7 pick from the 2024 WNBA Draft, has been mocked plenty of times on social media for her lack of touch around the rim. While she's undoubtedly an elite rebounder, her offensive game needs some work. An online troll wanted her to know just that, so they told the LSU star that she shot 39 percent from the field during this past season.
A few minutes after that post was sent to Reese, she responded with an emphatic message. She said, "Do you realize I got drafted 7th in my class while 'missing layups' as a ROOKIE shooting 39% on the year & was STILL a all star and that was the worst you'll ever see me??? Or you just laid up with your dog at home hating Adam?"
Unfortunately for Reese, that message backfired in a major way. Fans are making fun of her for bragging about her poor shooting percentage. They believe it's a bad look for the All-Star.
"Shooting 39% is not a brag. Its pretty bad for your position," one fan said.
"Willingly admitting you shot 39% almost all in the paint is rough buddy you should delete this," a second fan wrote.
"Missing layups and shooting 39%, while still being an 'a all star' isn't the flex you think it is," another fan replied.
Even though Reese didn't respond to any of those comments on social media, she did post this message on her account: "it wasn't a flex. it was tea that was clocked. NEXT."
Reese averaged 13.6 points and 13.1 rebounds per game for the Sky during her rookie campaign. If she can improve her skillset on offense, she'll definitely be the face of the franchise for years to come.
