Election Day is finally upon us and while most people are celebrating that they'll no longer be subjected to political ads while watching sports, others are making an important point about the importance of the day.

Taking to X this morning, WNBA star Angel Reese had a simple message for her 670,000 followers: "GET UP & VOTE."

Fans were pretty happy with the message, particularly given that she didn't call on her followers to vote for a particular candidate - a move that likely would have garnered no shortage of negativity this early in the morning.

"It's Election Day, November 5, 2024! Get out and exercise your right to vote," one user replied.

"Already voted 3 times!" another joked.

"Well, I'm already up, sweetie. Just took my vitamins and made tea. Now, where's that ballot?" a third declared.

Reese has been doing her part to get people out to vote today. She made a similar "PLEASE VOTE" post on her X account last night.

But the Chicago Sky star and WNBA All-Star has made it a point not to say who she is voting for or endorsing in this election. Back in August she said that she was going to "continue to learn" about the candidates in the election but wanted people to vote however they wanted to - as long as they voted.

"I haven't been able to tap a lot into the political election… so, I'm not that educated right now, but [I] just continue to learn," she said. "Everybody go out there and vote. I commend that, and I just tell a lot of people to go out there and vote because we need it for this election."

Many people have speculated that Reese privately supports Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris given that so many other WNBA stars do. But neither she nor arch-rival Caitlin Clark have publicly endorsed a candidate in spite of the speculation that they would.

We do agree with Reese on one important point though: If you're eligible to vote, go out and vote!
