Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese admit this week that she was devastated by the team's decision to fire head coach Teresa Weatherspoon.

Weatherspoon lasted just one season with the Sky. She led the team to an underwhelming 13-27 record. Clearly, the organization felt like it needed a culture change in order to reach its full potential.

After the Sky fired Weatherspoon this week, Reese hopped on social media to share her thoughts.

"I'm heartbroken," Reese wrote. "I'm literally lost for words knowing what this woman meant to me in such a pivotal point in my life."

Well, Reese was lying about being at a loss for words because she couldn't stop talking about the Sky's move.

"She was the only person that believed in me," she continued. "The one that trusted me. Many don't even know what it's like to be a black women in sports when nobody believes in you. You had a tough job. All the crazy circumstances that we went through this year & when your back was against the wall, you always believed. I came to Chicago because of YOU. You were an unsung hero in my life. We built a relationship in a short amount of time that will last forever. I'll never question God why he brings people in my life and takes them away from me in the capacity that I need them but i've always believed everyone is in your life for a reason and a season. You were the best reason & season. You didn't deserve this but I can't thank you enough. I love you Tspoon."

We're not sure how Reese went to the Sky because of Weatherspoon. She had no choice considering she was drafted by Chicago.

While we certainly understand that Reese was emotional about the team's move, her statement is downright laughable.

Reese has already tried to recruit Sheryl Swoopes as her next coach. We're not sure if that'll happen though.

Although her rookie campaign was cut short due to a wrist injury, Reese played very well for the Sky, averaging 13.6 points and 13.1 rebounds per game.
