Angel Reese Appears To Delete Instagram Account After Racy Post

It looks like Angel Reese is taking a little Instagram hiatus to kick off 2025.
Reese, who is active all over social media, appears to have deleted her Instagram account after a series of posts sharing her New Year's Eve outfit. On Tuesday night, Reese broke the internet with her revealing NYE dress, which she shared on her Instagram story and in a video for her followers. You can find that video here.
While there were plenty of people who appreciated Reese's dress and the content it inspired, others used the posts as an opportunity to ridicule the Chicago Sky star for showing off her body and sexuality. It looks like Reese had enough and deactivated her account.
"whoever is hating on angel reese and caused her to deactivate her instagram. i hope yall have a terrible year, spreading hate for no reason cuz yall are bitter and have no better things to do but spew nasty words behind a screen gtfoh," one person wrote on X/Twitter.
"What y'all done did to my girl Angel Reese to make her deactivate her Instagram," another person wrote.
We'll see if Reese eventually elects to hop back on Instagram at some point. It's possible she just needs some time away.
Last April, after her LSU team suffered a season-ending loss to Iowa in the Elite Eight, Reese lamented some of the issues she has dealt with online, including being sexualized.
"I've been through so much. I've seen so much," she said. "I've been attacked so many times, death threats, I've been sexualized, I've been threatened, I've been so many things, and I've stood strong every single time."
The No. 7 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, Reese led the league in rebounds and set a record for consecutive triple-doubles as a rookie while making the All-Star Game.
This month, she'll make her debut with Unrivaled, the new 3-on-3 women's basketball league which gets underway in Miami on Jan. 17.
