Andy Reid Sends Message To Opposing NFL Teams About Carson Wentz

It's very possible that Patrick Mahomes' high ankle sprain keeps him out of Saturday's game vs. the Texans but that doesn't mean that Andy Reid has lost any confidence in his team's ability to win.
Speaking on the possibility of Wentz playing this weekend, the Chiefs head coach made it clear that he feels the former Eagle is more than capable of getting the job done.
"He's started in the league and been successful," Reid said Tuesday. "He's got a great feel for this offense. Very smart, big arm, I like the way he carries himself, I like everything about him. He should be starting in this league somewhere. He's a heck of a player."
Wentz replaced Mahomes for a chunk of the final quarter after the two-time MVP exited and completed both of his pass attempts for 20 yards.
There was certainly a time where it was looking like Wentz had the makings of a star QB when he nearly won the league's Most Valuable Player award in 2017.
But ever since that knee injury that ended his season at 13 games and the Eagles won the Super Bowl without him he could never quite recapture that magic.
Wentz is still a talented guy though and on any given Sunday he can turn back the clock.
It's just a matter of how comfortable he is in the offense and if his services are needed.
