Amazon Getting Ripped For How Much It's Paying Melania Trump

Melania Trump will be keeping herself quite busy during Donald Trump's second term in the White House. On Wednesday, it was revealed that she struck a lucrative deal with Amazon.
The future first lady of the United States will have a documentary about her life released later this year. In order to secure the licensing rights to this documentary, Amazon shelled out $40 million. This expensive price tag was revealed by Puck News. As part of this deal, Amazon has rights to projects involving Melania for the next four years.
According to Page Six, this documentary will reveal more about Melania's life. Apparently, she's "more comfortable" with opening up to the public.
"She's been very savvy about what she says … Melania has gotten more comfortable speaking in front of people and on TV," the source told Page Six. "She is more confident and has taken full control of her public image which she knows is worth millions and she's ready to be paid for the work she puts into the doc and revealing more about herself."
While there might be some people interested in this documentary, the majority of the public is livid with Amazon for dishing out this type of money to Melania.
"Just despicable," one person said in response to this news.
"Some of y'all are mad at the wrong person. You should be mad at Amazon," a second person wrote.
Another social media user said, "Can we pause for a second and ask what we'd all be saying if Michelle Obama signed a $40m contract to film a documentary when she was First Lady?"
"So profiting from a political position, seems illegal," a fourth person wrote.
It's being reported that Melania will be the executive producer for her projects with Amazon. Her deal will allow her to receive some of the profits once released to the public.
"I'm also told her deal also gives her a piece of the backend, and that her husband helped structure the project," Page Six added.
Melania has not yet commented on her collaboration with Amazon. Per reports, her documentary will feature cameos from Donald and Barron.
