Amari Cooper Has One Big Goal In Mind Heading Into 2024 Season

The Cleveland Browns managed to get Pro Bowl wide receiver Amari Cooper for cheap in a trade with the Dallas Cowboys last year and he responded with a career-year for Cleveland. Heading into 2024, his goal is for more than just on-field success.

In an interview with Betr, Cooper said that he wouldn't do a race with one of the staffers for fun out of fear of pulling a hamstring. He explained that his goal for the coming year is "to get paid."

"I'm trying to get paid this year," Cooper said in the TikTok video.

Luckily for Cooper, a contract extension does appear to be in the cards for him. Both Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski and general manager Andrew Berry have expressed interest in tying him down as they see him as a part of their future success.

At 30 years of age, Cooper should still have plenty left in the tank. He certainly proved it with his performance last year.

In 2023, Cooper had 72 receptions for a career-high 1,250 yards while averaging 17.4 yards per reception - all in only 15 games. He was a big reason that quarterback Joe Flacco was able to lead the team into the postseason and win Comeback Player of the Year.
