It is the WNBA offseason, so players like Indiana Fever star forward Aliyah Boston have plenty of time in their hands to, well, watch more basketball.
That was the case for Boston on Tuesday night when she was spotted catching the marquee NBA matchup between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Boston Celtics at TD Garden.
Boston has even gone viral after getting caught by a camera trying to help Cavs head coach Kenny Atkinson late in the contest. Apparently, Boston tried to get Atkinson's attention and convince him to challenge a call after Jayson Tatum had the ball going out of bounds. Cleveland won the challenge but ended up losing the game, 120-117.
The 22-year-old Boston noticed the said clip on social media and reposed it with the following caption: "😂😂😂I try my best to be quiet but I can't help it."
The Cavs' loss to the Celtics meant that Cleveland's undefeated run to start the 2024-25 NBA regular season is now over.
Nevertheless, the Cavaliers' 15-1 record is still the best in the NBA. They can turn it around quickly on Wednesday when they welcome the New Orleans Pelicans at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland for the start of a three-game homestand.
As for the former WNBA Rookie of the Year, she can continue seeing live NBA games, with the next WNBA season still several months away from beginning.
