Though their season may be over, the Las Vegas Aces basketball team have returned to Sin City as heroes and are being respected by the iconic city as such.
After finishing 27-13 in the regular season with A'ja Wilson winning her third WNBA MVP award, the Aces swept the Seattle Storm in the opening round of the playoffs 2-0 only to lose to the New York Liberty in the WNBA Semifinals, 1-3. The Aces, who had been two-time defending WNBA champions, will not be threepeating this time around. But they're being treated like royalty regardless.
In a post shared by the city of Las Vegas on X, members of the Aces enjoyed "Some well-deserved R&R" at the Fontainebleau Luxury Resort. Their stay at the iconic venue included monogrammed robes for every member of the team - including names and numbers.

For decades sports teams had a devil of a time getting traction in Las Vegas. But ever since the Vegas Golden Knights joined in 2017, the city has really rallied around its various teams - and enjoyed some title glory to boot.
The Golden Knights have reached the Stanley Cup twice, winning the title in 2023, and the Aces further added to the city's championships with their 2022 and 2023 WNBA titles.
They might not be done adding teams to their city either as the Oakland A's will be relocating to Las Vegas in 2028.
