The New York Jets have done an excellent job of surrounding Aaron Rodgers with talent in this year's NFL Draft.

After selecting Penn State offensive tackle Olu Fashanu in the first round, the Jets traded up in the third round to take Western Kentucky wide receiver Malachi Corley.

Corley had 259 receptions for 3,033 yards and 29 touchdowns during his college career. Analysts have raved about his ability to gain yards after the catch, something coaches value greatly in today's league.

Shortly after the pick was announced, Rodgers posted the eyes emoji on X. We'd have to imagine this means he approves of the selection.

Unlike Rodgers, Jets head coach Robert Saleh made it known that he's a big fan of Corley's game.

"He's elite with the ball in his hands," Saleh told reporters. "He's an angry runner."

Jets general manager Joe Douglas, meanwhile, compared Corley to All-Pro wideout Deebo Samuel.

"If he had a relative sitting at the goal line, he's gonna run him over too," Douglas said.

Corley will join a skill position group in New York that features Garrett Wilson and Mike Williams. That should be a nice trio for Rodgers this fall.
