A banged-up Aaron Rodgers will fly back to the United States following a disappointing trip to London.

The New York Jets fell to 2-3 after Sunday's 23-17 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Rodgers completed 29 of 54 passes for 244 yards, two touchdowns, and three interceptions against his former NFC North rival at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Earlier in the week, Rodgers told Pat McAfee he was dealing with a swollen knee and some "wear and tear" after four games. The issues continued to pile up on Sunday.

Rodgers was in visible pain after his foot got caught underneath a Vikings defender. His left knee bent awkwardly, but the 40-year-old stayed in the game.

During his post-game press conference, Rodgers told reporters that he believes he sustained a low ankle sprain.

"There were a lot of things that definitely made some noises on the way down," Rodgers said of the play, per SNY.

After getting sacked five times by the Denver Broncos last weekend, Rodgers continued to take a beating in the pocket. A struggling Jets offensive line yielded 11 quarterback hits and three more sacks to the Vikings.

Rodgers threw three interceptions in a game for just the second time since 2018. The four-time MVP also noted that Sunday marked the first time he's ever thrown two picks in the first quarter.

"They all hurt. You just got to be honest with your performance every single week and hold yourself to a standard," Rodgers said. "Obviously, that was below my standard."

Rodgers will have an extra day to recover before Week 6's Monday Night Football matchup against the Buffalo Bills.
