49ers Star Nick Bosa Injured During Sunday's Game Against Seahawks

Nick Bosa exited Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks.
The San Francisco 49ers star was questionable for Sunday's NFC West matchup with a hip injury that bothered him last weekend. A limited practice participant throughout the week, Bosa avoided missing his first game since Week 6 of the 2022 season.
However, Bosa left the Week 11 matchup after aggravating the hip injury. The 49ers called him questionable to return, but his day appears to have ended early.
Losing Bosa would obviously be a major blow for a 49ers squad decimated by injuries this season. The 2022 Defensive Player of the Year was aiming to notch double-digit sacks and make the Pro Bowl for his fourth straight season.
While he's fallen behind his usual pace with 5.5 sacks, the 27-year-old entered Sunday's game with 27 pressures in nine games. Pro Football Focus gave him the fifth-highest grade (90.4) among all edge defenders.
Without their star defender, the 49ers lost a lead in the closing seconds at Levi's Stadium. Geno Smith concluded an 11-play, 80-yard drive with a 13-yard touchdown run.
A week after welcoming back Christian McCaffrey, an offense already missing Christian McCaffrey played without George Kittle. Brock Purdy tallied a season-low 157 passing yards, 91 of which went to Jauan Jennings. The wide receiver has now scored all four of his touchdowns in the two games Kittle has missed.
Bosa has played all but one game since tearing his ACL early in the 2020 season. Fans will hope that stays true when the 49ers go to Lambeau Field to play the Green Bay Packers next Sunday.
