England advanced to the semifinals of the UEFA European Championships after defeating Switzerland in a penalty shootout Saturday in Düsseldorf. 

England awaits the winner between Turkiye and the Netherlands.

Breel Embolo opened the scoring for Switzerland in the 74th minute. Bukayo Saka added England's equalizer just five minutes later. 

Spain and France will face off in the other semifinal.
