The Pens fall to the Devils

Here's the highlights from the Penguins' 3-0 loss in New Jersey tonight. Pittsburgh only managed 12 shots on goal in the game.

The team announced rookie defenseman Owen Pickering left the game and would not return with an undisclosed upper body injury suffered at some point during the game.

Was out doing holiday lights stuff so I'll have to catch up on this tomorrow and as such do not have any thoughts on the game. Doesn't look like much was missed, after an emotional 5-4 overtime win in Nashville the Pens were due for a let down game sooner or later, and playing in New Jersey never seems to agree with them in the first place.

Pittsburgh has one more game before the Christmas break next week. The Pens will return home to meet the rival Philadelphia Flyers on Monday night. After playing four of the last five on the road, it should be a welcome return for the Pens to put tonight's game behind them and try to go into the break on a better note.
